At an elevation of 1875 meters, it is a charming town in Chamoli that is tucked away between tall Himalayan peaks. Numerous Himalayan hikes begin here, and it also serves as the entry point to well-known holy places like Badrinath.

Ancient temples are there, which has created a spiritual atmosphere. One of Adi Shankar Acharya’s four “Math” Atharva Vedas is located there. Away from the clamor of cities, Joshimath offers a serene beauty. Snowfall is primarily experienced on the Kuari Pass Trek in December, though it can occasionally occur as early as November.
